Roatán ATV Tour
Description
At 9 am, we'll pick you up either at your accommodation or the cruise terminal in Roatan to begin an exciting quad tour around the island. Are you ready for this adventure?
Once we're on the ATVs, we'll head to the coast to see the impressive wreck of Dixon Cove and delve into the legends surrounding this ship, whose history is intertwined with the Nicaraguan Sandinista Revolution. Next, we'll proceed to Arch's Iguana & Marine Park, where we'll have the opportunity to interact with and feed the iguanas during a delightful half-hour visit.
Afterward, we'll hop back on the ATVs and continue our journey, exploring the eastern part of Roatan until we reach the Garifuna Cultural Center. Here, we'll delve into the captivating history and culture of this ethnic group, whose roots trace back to African, Kalinago, and Arawak aborigines. Did you know about their fascinating heritage?
Following an enriching hour-long visit, our next destination will be Oakridge, fondly known as the "Venice of Roatan". Ever wondered why it's called that? To find out, we'll hop off our ATVs and hop on a boat for a 20-minute boat ride, gliding through the enchanting mangrove canals and admiring the picturesque houses nestled among the lush vegetation. And what better way to conclude our adventure than by taking a refreshing dip at one of Oakridge's stunning beaches?
Finally, we'll return to the cruise terminal in Roatan, bid farewell to the quads, and say our goodbyes at 2 pm, back at the starting point.
