Day 1: Riohacha - The beaches of Manaure
At the indicated time we'll depart from Riohacha to Manaure, where we'll visit one of the most amazing places in La Guajira, the 4200 hectares that make up the salt complex of Manaure, full of mountains of salt and pools of pink water.
After exploring that area, we'll head to the Los Flamencos Flora and Fauna Sanctuary, a protected area with a large population of the long-legged birds that give it its name. Have you worked up an appetite? After that we'll have a delicious lunch to recharge our batteries and enjoy the beautiful beaches of Manaure.
In the afternoon, we'll get closer to the ancestral culture of La Guajira by spending some time in a Wayuu ranchería. There we'll enjoy a salt massage to end the day with our energy fully recharged.
After this time of relaxation, you'll be dropped off at the hotel in Manaure to have dinner and rest up until the next day.
Day 2: Manaure - Cabo de la Vela
On the second day we'll have a delicious breakfast at the hotel and, we'll start our journey to Cabo de la Vela. On the way we'll make a stop in the municipality of Uribia, the indigenous capital of Colombia.
Once we arrive at Cabo de la Vela, in the afternoon we'll go to the Ojo de Agua and Arcoíris beaches, where we can take a refreshing dip. Before nightfall, we'll go to the Cabo de la Vela lighthouse, where we'll witness one of the most beautiful sunsets in La Guajira.
We'll then go back to the hotel in Cabo de la Vela where we'll have dinner and rest until the next day.
Day 3: Cabo de la Vela - Punta Gallinas
The day starts with a delicious breakfast at Cabo de la Vela and then the tour continues, this time to Punta Gallinas. On the way, we'll appreciate some of the significant places of La Guajira such as the Jepirachi wind farm, the Puerto Nuevo and Portete desert and the Bahia Honda and the Bahia Hondita deserts.
Upon arriving at Punta Gallinas, we'll enjoy lunch and have time to rest in beautiful surroundings. Then we'll go to the Taroa Dunes. Sea, sky, desert...You'll fall in love with this unique landscape in Colombia!
After a swim in the sea, we'll make our way to the Punta Gallinas Lighthouse to watch the sunset on Punta Agujas beach. We'll finish the day at the accommodation in Punta Gallinas to have dinner and sleep. Until the next day!
Day 4: Punta Gallinas - Riohacha
On the last day we'll refuel with a delicious breakfast at Punta Gallinas. We'll end our 4 day tour with a road trip to Riohacha, where the adventure will come to an end at around 2pm.
