Manaure Salt Mines Tour + Wayúu Ranch
Manaure Salt Mines Tour + Wayúu Ranch
At the agreed time, we'll pick you up at the meeting point of your choice and board the minibus to head to the town of Manaure. The trip will take us about an hour.
Once we've arrived at our destination, we'll visit the salt mines of Manaure, known as the "white bride of Colombia" and one of the most important salt mines in the country. Together with the guide, we'll walk among the immense mounds of salt and admire the magical image they create when reflected in the water. We'll learn about the importance of the salt industry in the economy of this territory and about the production process.
Afterwards, we'll enjoy lunch in a local restaurant. You'll have a choice of different menus of beef, fish, chicken, or salad.
With renewed energy, we'll take you to visit a Wayúu ranch. The Wayúu are a native indigenous population of Colombia and Venezuela. We'll walk among their houses as the locals share their culture and traditions with us!
After 7 hours of immersing in the culture of the Wayúu, we'll take you back to the starting point in Riohacha, where we'll end the activity.
