Manaure Salt Flats & Los Flamencos Flora and Fauna Sanctuary Day Trip
Manaure Salt Flats & Los Flamencos Flora and Fauna Sanctuary Day Trip
At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up from your chosen meeting point in Riohacha and set off on our day trip. We'll spend 1 hour driving until we come to our first destination. Welcome to the Manaure Salt Flats!
Did you know that this area is known as the white bride of Colombia? We'll tell you all about the reasons behind this while admiring the huge piles of salt that lie before us. In addition, we'll learn about salt production as we observe the industrial and artisanal ponds and pools of pink water.
Afterwards, we'll take a break in a restaurant to eat a tasty lunch. You'll be able to choose either a dish with fish, chicken, beef or salad.
Once you've had your lunch, we'll head to the Los Flamencos Flora and Fauna Sanctuary. We'll walk along the trails while observing the great variety of birds to which this reserve owes its fame. In fact, this bird sanctuary is considered one of the richest protected areas in terms of the variety of aquatic birds.
We'll see how the birds are spread out across different parts of the sanctuary, such as in the mangroves, the tropical dry forest, its coastal lagoons and the desert areas.
Having spent 7 hours visiting these fantastic places, we'll take you back to the starting point in Riohacha and say our goodbyes.
