Day 1: Riohacha - Manaure - Cabo de la Vela
At the indicated time, the tour will begin at the meeting point that you selected when booking the 3-day tour of Manaure, Cabo de la Vela and Punta Gallinas. After an hour's journey, the first stop will be at the incomparable beaches of Manaure. There we'll visit the most famous salt piles in Colombia.
The next stop on the tour will be the Manaure salt flats, where we'll delve into the production of salt and admire the 4,200 hectares used for it. Afterwards, we'll travel to the Los Flamencos Fauna and Flora Sanctuary, where we'll observe the colourful birds in such a unique natural space. After this visit, we'll stop for lunch and enjoy the best dishes of La Guajira's cuisine.
Finally, we'll head towards Cabo de la Vela, stopping at places such as Uribia, which is known as the indigenous capital of Colombia. We'll also stop at a panoramic viewpoint where we'll see the best view of the desert and Cabo de la Vela.
We'll end the day arriving at the Cabo de la Vela hotel to have dinner and rest.
Day 2: Cabo de la Vela - Punta Gallinas
After having breakfast at the accommodation in Cabo de la Vela, we'll continue our 3-day tour of La Guajira. On the second day we'll visit outstanding places such as the Jepirachi wind farm, the Puerto Nuevo and Portete desert, the Bahia Honda desert and the Bahia Hondita desert. What will be the difference between the last two? You'll be surprised!
Once we arrive at Punta Gallinas, we'll make the most of the location and have a lunch as delicious as the views that accompany it. Afterwards, we'll go to one of the most emblematic places in Colombia: The Taroa Dunes. There, we'll admire its magnificent landscapes and we'll be able to refresh ourselves in its waters before continuing the journey to the Punta Gallinas lighthouse to watch the sunset.
Once the sun has set, it'll be time to go to the hotel to have dinner and rest.
Day 3: Punta Gallinas - Manaure - Riohacha
After a hearty breakfast, we'll start the last day of the tour. After driving the almost 200 kilometres that separate Punta Gallinas from Manaure, we'll taste some of the most delicious dishes of Colombian cuisine in the front of Manaure's beaches. Then it'll be time to relax and enjoy a massage with brine oil and other natural ointments - one of the most memorable moments of the whole excursion!
Finally, at around 2 pm we'll drive back to Riohacha, where we'll get the opportunity to admire the craftwork of the region before saying goodbye at the meeting point.
