Day 1: Riohacha - Manaure - Cabo de la Vela
At the indicated time you'll drive from Riohacha to Manaure, known as the white bride of Colombia and head to the Manaure salt flats, known throughout Colombia for their majesty. Photo opportunity!
Afterwards, you'll visit the salt factory complex, learning all about the production of salt and visiting a large part of the 4200 hectares used for its production. You'll discover endless interesting things!
The next stop of the day will be at the Los Flamencos Fauna and Flora Sanctuary, a unique place full of biodiversity that you will fall in love with. At the end of this visit, you'll have lunch made up with a selection of typical Colombian dishes, with fish as the main ingredient!
The adventure will continue, heading towards Cabo de la Vela, passing through Uribia, the indigenous capital of Colombia. Once you reach the final destination, you'll spend some time enjoying the combination of the desert and the sea.
At the end of the day, you'll be dropped off at your accommodation in Cabo de la Vela where you'll spend the night.
Day 2: Cabo de la Vela - Riohacha
In the morning, you'll have breakfast in the hotel in Cabo de la Vela and then you'll visit the Pilón de Azúcar beaches, a sacred place for the indigenous Wayuu.
After enjoying a morning of sun and beach, you'll visit a traditional inn for lunch. Finally, at around 2 pm you'll return to Riohacha, until the next time!
Accommodation and meals
The tour includes two breakfasts, two lunches, one dinner and one night of accommodation in the Restaurante y Hospedaje Glamar de Cabo de la Vela. When reserving, you can also pick between two types of accommodation for sleeping:
