Rio Historic Centre Free Tour
There are many hidden treasures to discover in the famous city of Rio de Janeiro. At 10:30 am, we'll meet up in front of the main entrance of the impressive Municipal Theater to begin our free guided tour of the city!
After admiring the theater's magnificent exterior façade and learning all about the history of Cinelândia Square, we'll continue this free tour of Rio de Janeiro by approaching the Escadaria Selarón, a street work by the Chilean Jorge Selarón, which have become one of the most photographed corners of Rio thanks to their striking coloured tiles. Nearby, we'll find the Carioca Aqueduct, popularly known as Arcos da Lapa. Afterwards, we'll walk along Avenida Rio Branco in the direction of the Confeitaria Colombo. Do you know why it's so popular with tourists?
We'll continue exploring other beautiful corners of the city and reach the neoclassical Tiradentes Palace, which we'll admire from the outside. We'll also enjoy the incredible views at Guanabara Bay.
The tour comes to an end at the Praça Quinze de Novembro Square.
