Paragliding in Rio de Janeiro
At the time of your choice, we'll meet on Avenida Mendes de Morais, located in the neighborhood of São Conrado. There we'll board a minibus and head to the starting point of the activity, where we'll finalize the details of the paragliding flight over Rio de Janeiro. What a thrill!
Once at the take-off area, we'll go over the basic safety measures and explain all the important aspects you should know about paragliding.
Accompanied at all times by the instructor, we'll take to the air with the paraglider and begin to soar through the skies of Rio de Janeiro. From the heights, we'll admire the lush nature of São Conrado and the Atlantic Ocean with the tall buildings of the city center in the distance.
You'll feel like a bird flying over the Tijuca National Park with the tropical breeze on your face. You'll even see the bays of Copacabana and Ipanema, hills like the famous Sugar Loaf, and rock formations like Pedra da Gávea, a monolith that stands 2,762 feet (842 meters) above sea level. Better views would be impossible!
After a flight lasting 6-10 minutes, depending on wind conditions, we'll land and say our goodbyes at São Conrado beach.
Options
When making your reservation, you'll be able to select one of the following options:
- Paragliding flight: Includes only the flight.
- Paragliding flight + GoPro photos & videos: Flight and photos of the experience.
- Paragliding flight with hotel pickup (south zone) + Photos & GoPro videos: Flight, photos of the experience, and round-trip transportation to and from your hotel in Rio. Only accommodations in the southern part of the city are included.
- Paragliding flight + GoPro & 360 photos & videos: Flight and GoPro and 360 degrees pictures and videos of the experience.
- Paragliding flight with pickup (south zone) + GoPro & 360 photos & videos: Flight, GoPro and 360 photos and videos of the experience, and round-trip transportation to and from your hotel in the southern part of Rio.
Paragliding + Hiking activity
Suppose you want an experience that combines an adventure by land and by air. If this is the case, you can book a final option that includes a paragliding flight, photos and videos taken with a Go Pro camera, and a guided hike through the Pedra Bonita trail, inside the Tijuca National Park.
The duration of the round-trip hike is an hour and a half. This option does not include transportation, it'll start from Mendes de Morais Avenue.
