Bico do Papagaio Hiking & Rappelling Route
Description
We'll meet at Praça Afonso Viseu at the scheduled time and embark on an exciting journey to Tijuca National Park, located southwest of Rio de Janeiro. Prepare to discover why this park is on the World Heritage List!
Upon arrival, we'll set off on a one-hour hike through the lush Tijuca Forest, Rio's green lung. Our path will lead us to Largo do Bom Retiro, a key starting point for various trails that traverse the park's magnificent mountains.
Continuing our trek, we'll reach the base of Bico do Papagaio, the park's second-tallest mountain. From its summit, breathtaking panoramic views await, showcasing iconic landmarks such as Gávea Stone, Beautiful Stone, Sumaré, and even a glimpse of the Christ the Redeemer statue atop Corcovado Mountain.
Now, it's time to ignite your adrenaline! Equipped with climbing gear, we'll receive expert guidance from an instructor as we indulge in the thrilling experience of rappelling up and down the rocky cliffs of b.
Before concluding our adventure, we'll make a refreshing stop at Almas Waterfall, where you can take advantage of some free time to cool off with a swim.
Finally, after an unforgettable seven to eight-hour journey, we'll return to the bus and drop you off at the original meeting point.
