Gaze across beautiful Rio de Janeiro from the Christ the Redeemer viewpoint. This breath-taking spot at the summit of Corcovado is perfect for taking panoramic photos of what locals call the ‘carioca’ city.
Christ the Redeemer by Minibus
On the morning of your tour, we will collect you from your hotel before heading to the National Park of Tijuca, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Our tour will take you past the stunning Copacabana and Ipanema beaches and through some of Rio's most iconic neighbourhoods, passing by the impressive Metropolitan Cathedral of Saint Sebastian; Maracaná Stadium and Leblon Beach, as well as seeing the Sambadrome Marquês de Sapucaí, which hosts Rio Carnival parades.
You'll then arrive at Corcovado itself. From the summit, you will enjoy the spectacular views of Rio offered by the Christ the Redeemer observation deck. This colossal structure of Jesus Christ, with arms open wide, has become the symbol of Brazil. From the feet of this gigantic figure, you will have a bird’s eye view of the most iconic locations around the city, such as the beaches of Ipanema and Copacabana, the lagoon, the skyline of the city, and Sugarloaf Mountain.
The panoramic balcony at the foot of the Christ the Redeemer statue also gives you a unique view of the legendary Maracaná stadium, which played host to the Football World Cup in 1950 and 2014. From the summit of Corcovado, you can also gaze across the beautiful bay of Guanabara, which was the setting for the controversial boat races of the 2016 Olympics.
At the end of the trip, and with your camera packed with great photos, we will take you back to your hotel in Rio around 12 pm.
