The hot springs of Rio Negro, located in the heart of Rincon de la Vieja National Park, are one of the main natural spas in the province of Guanacaste.
At Hotel Hacienda Guachipelin, located right in the center of the national park, you'll be able to pick up the ticket to the hot springs, which is only 350 meters (a quarter mile) away. It's a short and pleasant walk through the lush and exuberant Costa Rican rainforest.
Once you arrive at the Rio Negro hot springs, you can enjoy all the spa facilities at your leisure until closing time. The complex has 10 pools located on the banks of the river. Its mineral-rich waters are always pleasantly warm thanks to the volcanic subsoil of the area.
In the thermal complex, you can also enjoy a volcanic mud bath. Its toning, rejuvenating and exfoliating properties are very beneficial to the skin, as they help to purify dead follacles.
