Description
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the main entrance to the Piadina Experience to begin our guided visit around this famous foodie museum, located in the suburbs of Rimini.
The piadina, a flatbread made with wheat flour, usually stuffed with ham and other foods, is one of the most popular Emilia-Romagna products. We'll begin our museum tour by learning about the origins of the piadina, which came about in the Neolithic age.
We'll continue the tour, discovering how this bread became such a popular product, whose traditional recipe has been passed down through generations of the inhabitants of Emilia-Romagna. The visit will continue in the Piadinia e Motori room, where we'll learn about the passion of the Romagnones not just for this star product of the region, but also for the great motor racing competitions.
After passing through this section, we'll head to the tasting room to try a delicious piadina. It'll make your mouth water! After this treat, we'll continue our visit around the Piadina Experience Museum and the Magic Room. Here, we'll learn all about the alchemical secrets of wheat and the rest of the ingredients of the piadina.
Lastly, we'll walk through the Panoramic Tunnel so that we can observe the various preparation phases that go into making the piadina: the preparation of the dough, the resting of the dough, the baking at different temperatures... On this tour, we'll also see how modern technology can accelerate the process, without losing even an ounce of tradition and quality.
Finally, after a 1.5-hour tour, our guided visit will end where the tour began.
