Day Trip to Vilnius
Description
On the day of the activity, we'll collect you from your hotel in Riga, Latvia's capital, and then make our way by bus to Lithaunia's capital city of Vilnius. The journey between the 2 cities takes around 4 hours. Ready for an Eastern European adventure? Let's go!
Once we've arrived in the beautiful city of Vilnius, with its UNESCO-listed Old Town, we'll begin soaking up its centuries-old charm and architectural marvels. We'll undoubtedly be captivated by the old-world feel of this historic quarter, where the narrow, cobblestone streets are lined with stories and tales of years past.
From here, we'll venture into the rather bohemian enclave of the Uzupis district, a haven for artists and free spirits alike. We'll find ourselves overcome with vibrant colours and authentic energy around almost every corner of this neighbourhood. Be sure to pay special attention to the buildings that are lined with artwork. The walls are this neighbourhood's canvas!
In addition, we'll also have the chance to check out one of the most beautiful churches in the world: St. Peter's and St. Paul's Church. We'll take in the pristine beauty of Lithuanian nature at a unique monument. For history buffs, we'll also pay a visit to the exile memorial and Markjuciaci Manor, where history and literature combine to tell the story of Lithuania's past.
Lastly, we'll take in some amazing views of Vilnius from some impressive vantage points. We'll then begin our return journey back to Riga, where we'll bring this tour to an end after 12 hours together.
