Symi Island + Panormitis Monasteries Day Trip
Symi Island Day Trip
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Rhodes and take you to Mandraki Port. There, you'll board a boat that will take you to Symi, part of the Dodecanese island chain and one of Greece's most precious treasures!
Having reached Symi, you'll have the whole day free to explore the beautiful island at your leisure. Walking along its characteristic rocky coastline, you'll be enchanted by the beautiful neoclassical buildings on the waterfront.
Did you know that Symi is the birthplace of the Charities, also known as The Three Graces? Greek mythology goes hand in hand with the culture of Symi island. In fact, the island is named after the nymph Syme.
During your day on Symi, you'll have time to visit Ano Symi, home to the Knights of St John Castle. We also recommend visiting the Monastery of St Michael the Archangel, nestled in one of the island's most beautiful bays, and the Monastery of Sotiris Megalos, in Panormitis.
After spending a full day exploring the island, we'll meet again at the agreed time at Symi port to take the boat back to Rhodes. We will end the excursion by dropping you off at your hotel at approximately 5 pm.
