Marvel at Iceland's latest volcanic eruption from above on this helicopter tour from Reykjavik, a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see an active volcano up close!
Description
To kick off our adventure, we'll meet at Reykjavik Domestic Airport, just a 5-minute drive from the centre of the city. Ready for the adventure of a lifetime?
Once we've made our introductions, we'll board the helicopter and lift off, heading towards the site of some of Iceland's latest volcanic eruptions. As we make our way to the Reykjanes Peninsula, we'll fly over some characteristic Icelandic landscapes, taking in the breathtaking views from this unique perspective.
During the flight, we'll soar over mountains and solidified rivers of lava. As you take in the views of the active volcanoes from the air, we might even see hot lava flowing, as nature displays its raw power. The views from above will provide ample opportunity to take some unbelievable panoramic photos.
Some of Iceland's most recent eruptions that we'll see from the air include Fagradalsfjall, Meradalir, Litli-Hrútur, and Sundhnúkur, the most recent of which just erupted in March 2024!
Finally, after between 30 and 35 minutes, we'll head back to the starting point and bring this tour to an end. Until next time!
