Silfra Snorkelling & Golden Circle Tour
Silfra Snorkelling & Golden Circle Tour
At 8 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Reykjavik and drive to Silfra. Did you know that National Geographic has named it one of the best dive sites in the world with up to 393 feet (120 meters) of visibility? You'll have the opportunity to snorkel these amazingly clear waters and witness the beauty for yourself!
You'll awe at the incredible blue tones of this place and discover the underwater flora on the canyon walls. You'll also see Silfra Hall, which is the widest section of the fissure, and the majestic Silfra Cathedral, the deepest section of the canyon. The incredible views will amaze you from beginning to end!
Afterwards, we'll get back on the minibus and take you to Thingvellir, the most famous national park in the country. Once there, we'll walk through this unique place to head to the Almannagjá canyon, which is located between two tectonic plates.
We'll then drive to an area of the park known for its geysers to catch a glimpse of this unique natural phenomenon. You'll be left speechless by the impressive Strokkur geyser, which erupts columns of boiling water into the air every ten minutes or so, some of which can reach up to 98 feet (30 meters) high!
Continuing along our Golden Circle route, we'll reach the Gulfoss Waterfalls, undoubtedly one of the most spectacular sights on the trip. The cascades, whose name means "Golden Falls" in Icelandic, are a sight you'll remember forever.
Surrounded by magnificent natural scenery, you'll have 45 minutes of free time for lunch. You can either bring your own lunch or go to the local restaurant and taste the typical gastronomy of the country.
After lunch, we'll start our return trip to Reykjavik. Arrival at your hotel in the Icelandic capital is scheduled for 6 pm.
