Discover the wine tradition in northern France with this Reims & Hautvillers Champagne Tour. Explore the birthplace of French champagne and taste their sparkling wines!
Description
At the designated time, we'll gather in front of the Reims train station and embark on a minibus journey to the vineyards situated on the outskirts of the city.
Our initial visit will be to a family-owned winery, where the members will guide us through the grape pressing room, providing insights into their artisanal champagne production process. Following the tour, we'll indulge in tastings of various signature sparkling wines, a delightful experience for the taste buds.
Bid farewell to the welcoming family as we proceed with the tour, traversing the scenic vineyard landscape recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We'll explore the terroirs, designated parcels that create ideal conditions for cultivating grapes used in sparkling wine production. Don't forget your cameras!
Our next destination is the charming village of Hautvillers, renowned as one of the birthplaces of French champagne. Passing by the Church of Saint-Sindulphe, the resting place of Dom Pérignon, we'll visit another family winery to try champagne and local products in a delightful tasting session.
Concluding our journey, we'll return to the Reims train station, arriving approximately four and a half hours after the start.
