The day was not looking very good, since early in the morning it was cloudy and it even seemed that we would not be able to carry out the activity, but to everyone's surprise, we were very lucky and were able to see some sharks and up to twenty sperm whales. A highly recommended activity, and we must also make special mention of Alba and Marcelo, our guide and the boat pilot respectively, who gave us very interesting information and explanations throughout the activity. 10/10

On this whale watching activity in Rabo de Peixe, we'll sail in a speedboat to spot some majestic marine mammals. Seeing these whales and dolphins in the Atlantic will take your breath away!

Whale Watching Tour

We'll meet at the Porto de Pescas de Rabo de Peixe at your selected time and board a speedboat in search of the whales and dolphins swimming off the coast of São Miguel.

During this adventure in the waters of the Azores, we'll discover the marine life of the Atlantic. Before you know it, dolphins and whales will be swimming alongside us and you'll be able to witness and photograph these beautiful creatures in their natural habitat. Your expert guide will also tell you lots of interesting facts about these fascinating sea animals.

During the three-hour trip, we'll enjoy the fascinating views of the coastline of Rabo de Peixe, which stands out for the black colour of its volcanic rock.

Finally, we'll return to the starting point and end the whale watching trip after three hours of activity.

El día no pintaba muy bien, ya que a primera hora estaba nublado y parecía incluso que no ibamos a poder realizar la actividad, pero para sorpresa de todos, tuvimos mucha suerte y pudimos avistar algún tiburón y hasta una veintena de cachalotes. Una actividad muy recomendable, y también hay que hacer especial mención a Alba y Marcelo, nuestra guía y el piloto de la embarcación respectivamente, que nos dieron datos y explicaciones muy interesantes a lo largo de la actividad. 10/10 Translate this opinion into English.

Vimos 3 tipos diferentes de delfines, varios cachalotes y hasta un atún. Hay veces que los animales se acercan más y otras menos, nosotros tuvimos fuerte y hasta un cachalote se acercó a la lancha a vernos, impresionante. We saw 3 different types of dolphins, several sperm whales and even a tuna. There are times when the animals come closer and others less, we had a strong one and even a sperm whale approached the boat to see us, impressive. The very friendly marine biologist gave the explanations in several languages, including Spanish and the pilot too. Comfortable seats and good visibility. Thank you so much for everything.
