We'll meet at the designated time at the Rabat Ville train station to begin this exciting walking tour of Rabat. Our tour will begin in the labyrinthine streets of the Rabat Medina, a place where centuries of history echo. What secrets hide within its walls? We'll find out together!
Our first stop will be at the Kasbah of the Udayas, a military fortress in the mouth of the Bou Regreg River. From this site, we'll enjoy the spectacular views of the Atlantic and tell you about the Almohad Caliphate and the Alawi dynasty.
The guided tour will continue in the Andalusian Gardens, a haven of peace with Hispanic Arabic influences that will transport you to another period. Close by, you'll find the National Jewellery Museum, where you'll admire an exquisite collection of traditional Moroccan pieces.
Afterward, we'll step into the heart of the city to reach the bustling Souk Sebbat, a market filled with carpet, textile, and jewelry stands. Here, you'll feel the authentic essence of Rabat while strolling along the colors and aromas that flood its narrow streets.
To wrap up our tour, we'll reach the square of the Hassan Tower, where the Mausoleum of Mohammed V awaits, one of the most impressive Arab Muslim monuments—it's no wonder why! We'll tell you how over 400 Moroccan artists worked on its ornamentation.
