Quito Free Shopping Tour
Quito Free Shopping Tour
At the designated time, we'll meet in Plaza Grande and set off on our free shopping tour of Quito. Let's visit some of the markets in Ecuador's capital!
We'll walk to the Archbishop's Palace, which is located in the main square of the city, to learn all about Quito's ice creams and sweet treats. The latter include chimborazos, wafers and guava sweets.
Afterwards, we'll stroll along one of the oldest and most bohemian streets in the historic centre: Ronda Street. On this street, we'll find craft shops where you can buy golden blouses and multicoloured woven ponchos. The colour of this garment is typically used as a means of identifying the Indigenous peoples of Tunguarahua.
Our shopping tour of Quito will then take us to the Plaza de San Francisco, where we'll see its colonial architecture. Here, we'll visit the Tianguez Fair Trade shop and a shop dedicated that makes toquilla straw hats.
Last of all, we'll go into a cocoa shop to learn how this tasty delicacy is made. We'll also attend a tasting of the best chocolate in the country. Our tour will then come to an end at this last point after a total of 3 hours.
