Private Day Trips from Quito
If you have several days in Quito and want to explore the surroundings with an exclusive guide, you can book any of our private tours. These tours last between 9 and 11 hours and include pick-up from your hotel, transport in a private vehicle and an English-speaking guide.
Here are the details of each tour:
Cotopaxi Private Day Trip (9 hours)
After picking you up at 7 am, we'll make our way to the Cotopaxi National Park to enjoy one of the most spectacular Andean landscapes in Ecuador. When we arrive, we'll get on bikes to start a tour that will take us to the Limipiopugno lagoon.
During the tour, we'll learn about the geography of the Andes as well as the fauna and flora around this volcanic area. We'll explore an ancient Inca ritual site and make our way back to your hotel in Quito.
Otavalo Private Day Trip (10 hours)
With this option, we'll pick you up at 6:45 am to head to Otavalo. We'll start the excursion enjoying some traditional Cayambe biscuits. Have you heard about them? From there we'll go to the San Pablo Lake. You'll be amazed by it!
After enjoying these landscapes, we'll go into the city of Otavalo to visit its handicraft market and you'll have two hours of free time for lunch. Before returning to Quito, we'll stop at the Cuicocha volcano to admire the lagoon. It curiously has two green islands inside! We'll also visit the town of Cotacachi, famous for its leather handicrafts.
Mindo Private Day Trip (11 hours)
Are you ready to discover one of the most biodiverse areas in the Andes? We'll pick you up at 6:45 am to start the excursion to Mindo. This town, surrounded by an evergreen cloud forest, is the ideal place to get to know the Ecuadorian fauna and flora.
On our arrival in Mindo, we'll visit the chocolate factory and the hummingbird farm. If you prefer, we can take a walk in the jungle to discover the impressive waterfalls that are hidden inside. You decide! Finally, you'll have four hours of free time before returning to Quito.
Quilotoa Private Day Trip (11 hours)
We'll pick you up at 6:45 am to begin an excursion to one of the most impressive lakes in the Andes, Quilotoa. If you take the tour on a Thursday or Sunday, we'll stop on the way at an indigenous market so that you can get to know the different cultures that live in this area of Ecuador.
After crossing the old Toachi Canyon, we'll start the ascent to the lagoon's viewpoint on foot, which is more than 3000 metres above sea level! Then, after two hours of free time, we'll return to Quito.
