Otavalo Day Trip
Otavalo Day Trip
After being meeting in Quito, we'll leave the capital behind and head north on the Pan-American Highway, reaching Cayambe, an Andean province nestled in the valley and surrounded by high mountains. We'll make a stop along your route to taste traditional Ecuadorian bizcocho de Cayambe, wood-oven baked pastries accompanied by a mozzarella-style soft cheese or dulce de leche.
Next up, we'll stop at the "Miralago" viewpoint, from which we'll enjoy incredible panoramic views over San Pablo Lake, the Imbabura volcano, and the surrounding villages. Then, the tour will continue in Otavalo, a city famous worldwide for its indigenous market.
From here, we'll continue our journey to the Peguche Waterfall, near Otavalo. We'll marvel at the magical landscapes of the waterfallbefore heading to our next stop, the Ñanda Mañachi Cultural Center, where we'll learn about the work of local artists.
Finally, we'll visit the Otavalo market and enjoy a delicious lunch in the area. Afterward, we’ll begin our return journey to Quito, with an expected arrival in the Ecuadorian capital 8 hours after pickup
