Quito Botanical Garden + Cruz Loma Tour
Description
At the designated time we'll pick you up from your meeting point of choice and we'll make our way to the western mountain range of the Pichinchas at an altitude of 2,850 meters. The landscape will blow you away!
Once there, we'll buy tickets to go up the Quito cable car. After a 10-minute journey, we'll arrive at Cruz Loma station, almost 4,000 metres above sea level!
From this altitude, you'll have access to astonishing views of Quito and, weather permitting, you'll even get to see the majestic volcanoes that surround the city, like Cayambe, Antisana, Sincholagua, Cotopaxi, and Atacazo. At the summit, you'll have one hour of free time to walk around and try out the famous Cruz Loma swing.
We'll then continue our tour with a visit to Quito's Botanical Garden. Here we'll discover an incredible variety of plants and we'll discuss the importance of conservation efforts for endangered species.
Depending on the group's pace, we'll make one final stop at the Guayasamin Museum, also known as La Capilla del Hombre (The Chapel of Man). This cultural centre pays homage to humankind and identity, encouraging visitors to reflect on Latin American history. The museum's architecture, artwork, and message about our commitment to human rights will leave a significant impression.
After our visits, we'll return to our starting point, where our 4-hour tour will come to an end.
