At 9 am, we'll meet at the central Bolivar Square in Quimbaya, where a jeep will be waiting to take us to the La Vieja river, the natural border between Quindío and the Cauca Valley.
Upon arrival, we'll put on our life jackets and then you'll choose which type of watercraft you'd like to navigate the rapids with. You can choose to raft with several people or face the rapids on your own with a kayak or tube!
We'll paddle along this river that crosses the Eje Cafetero, enjoying the lush vegetation of Colombian nature. At around 12 noon, we'll stop at a local farm located on the banks of the river to have a typical lunch and taste the famous sudado montañero: a chicken and potato stew with onion, tomato, yucca, and plantain served with boiled egg and rice, and accompanied by fresh-squeezed lemonade.
Afterwards, we'll continue paddling down the rapids until we finally reach the pier, where we'll disembark and then take the jeep back to the starting point.
