Pyhä Survival Course
We'll meet at 10 am at the Colorado Bar & Grill and venture into the heart of the Pyhä-Luosto National Park to start our arctic survival course. The guide will show us all the essential equipment for an expedition: sleeping bag, mattress etc.
We'll also learn what to wear in the extreme cold and how to cook in cold climates. We'll complete the experience with a light lunch of bread and sausages.
Next, we'll grab the snow shovels and prepare to build a quinzee, the typical Lappish igloo. Did you know this method is used by hikers to survive the Arctic nights?
At the end of the activity, we'll return to the starting point to end the activity at 6 pm.
