Itinerary

Meet your guide at the scheduled time at the main entrance of the ancient stone Varaha Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. During your tour, you'll hear the legendary tale of the deity appearing in the form of a boar to protect goddess Earth. Admire the architectural details of this 12th century temple, the oldest in Pushkar.

The next stop on your tour will be the historic Rangji Temple, whose intricately carved stone tower is covered in representations of numerous Hindu gods. As you marvel at these elaborate scenes, learn all about the different beliefs in India, the birthplace of four of the world's major religions, and how each has its own architectural style.

Strolling through narrow alleyways, you'll reach the Brahma Temple. The city's most famous religious building, this vibrantly colourful temple is Pushkar's only shrine dedicated to the Hindu creator god, and one of very few that still exist across the Indian subcontinent.

For the final stop on your walking tour, you'll climb up to the hilltop Savitri Temple, built in honour of one of Lord Brahma's wives, Savitri. Discover the ancient Hindu tale of this goddess while you admire spectacular panoramic views over the sacred Pushkar Lake and the city itself.

Having explored the temple surroundings, your tour will finish nearby.
