Itinerary
After meeting your guide at Brahma Ghat at the scheduled time, you'll begin your walking tour of the waterside steps that surround Pushkar Lake. You'll soon see why the city is famous throughout India for its many ghats, more than fifty of which surround the holy lake, creating a uniquely beautiful sight.
During your guided tour, you'll visit a number of these ghats, where you'll have the opportunity to see locals and pilgrims alike bathing, meditating and making offerings on the banks of the lake.
You'll visit the Brahma Temple, one of Pushkar's most iconic temples, famous for its vibrantly colourful architecture, as well as being the city's only shrine dedicated to the Hindu creator deity. The current building was built in the 14th century, but mentions of the temple date back to the 8th century, making it one of the oldest religious buildings in Pushkar.
For the finishing touch on your fascinating walking tour, you'll return back to the ghats to watch the sunset over the sacred lake. A truly magical moment in a unique setting!
