Explore the beautiful mountainous landscapes of the Quebrada de Humahuaca and the Serranía de Hornocal on this excursion from Purmamarca.
Humahuaca & Serranía de Hornocal Tour
After picking you up from your hotel between 10:15 am and 10:30 am, we'll set off on our day trip to the Quebrada de Humahuaca. Before leaving Purmamarca, we'll get to admire the spectacular Hill of Seven Colours which watches over the town. You'll be enchanted by the rainbow-coloured rock formation!
We'll visit the Paleta del Pintor monolith to observe closely the curious change of tonalities of the mountains of Maimará. Afterwards, we'll continue travelling through the Quebrada de Humahuaca until we reach the town of the same name. Its colonial appearance of cobbled streets and adobe houses are some of its main attractions. You'll have half an hour of free time to recharge your batteries in a local restaurant on your own.
At this point, we'll change vehicles and get into a 4x4 for a drive into the Serrania de Hornocal. We'll climb up the mountain to enjoy the geological formations. Fun fact, they have more than 14 colours and are more than 500 million years old.
After this adventure, we'll return to the starting point in Purmamarca. We'll be back at your hotel at approximately 4:00 pm.
