Whale Watching in Punta Sal
Whale Watching in Punta Sal
We'll pick you up at your hotel in Punta Sal at 6:30 am to go to the port. Here, a boat will be waiting to take us sailing on the Pacific in search of cetaceans. Are you ready for an adventure? Let's go!
On the coasts of Punta Sal, we'll see bottlenose dolphins and humpback whales, one of the largest cetaceans in the world. Did you know these whales can weigh up to 79,366 lbs (36,000 kilos) and measure 52.5 ft (16 meters) long? Impressive!
These enormous whales come to the Peruvian coast to reproduce in the summer months. We might see them swimming alone, in groups, or with their calves. Because the marine life of Punta Sal is so diverse, we might also see sea lions, sea turtles, or birds such as the blue-footed booby or the earwig!
Finally, after 3 hours of whale watching in Punta Sal, we'll return to the pier and take you back to your hotel.
Whale-watching
The coast of Punta Sal is one of the best places in Peru to see whales, dolphins, and other species. However, animals are unpredictable. The sighting of a greater or lesser number of animals will depend on various factors such as the weather at the time or the reproduction and breeding seasons of the different species.
