Venice Islands Tour: Venice, Murano & Burano
Venice Islands Tour
At the indicated time we'll meet at the indicated meeting point to board the boat. We'll set sail and skirt the coast of the island of Lido and its extensive beaches, approaching the island of St. Helena as well as Venice itself. The panorama is incredible!
We'll take a boat trip around the Venice Lagoon. Our first stop will be Murano, the second largest island in the Venetian lagoon, known for its famous glass. We'll visit a factory to learn how the technique of blown glass is made. After this 15-minute visit, you'll have almost an hour of free time to walk around the streets and past the island's canals.
Next, we'll go to Burano, where you'll have an hour and 15 minutes to get to know the island at your leisure, admiring its beautiful coloured houses. Did you know that, according to legend, these bright colours were used to help sailors recognise their houses on foggy days?
The next part of the excursion will be in Venice, where you'll also have some free time. You can return by boat to Punta Sabbioni at either 4:45 pm or 6 pm, whichever you prefer - your return boat is included!
