Los Haitises National Park Day Trip
Tour Options
During the booking process, you can choose between the following options:
Los Haitises National Park
We'll pick you up at your hotel in Punta Cana from 6:30 am onwards and set off for Los Haitises National Park, a unique karst landscape bathed by the waters of Samaná Bay.
When we get there, we'll board a boat to navigate through the Caño Hondo River. Watch out for the waters! On the shores rise the tangles of red mangroves until we reach the bay of San Lorenzo. In the open sea, we'll observe rocky hummocks inhabited by pelicans and earwigs.
The expedition continues to the Arena and La Línea caves, which were once used by the Taíno indigenous people. Inside, we'll see these caves decorated with indigenous pictograms and petroglyphs.
Next, we'll disembark at the Hotel Paraíso Caño Hondo, where we'll find some beautiful natural pools belonging to the hotel. You can take a refreshing dip in the pools of the Jivales River.
Afterward, we'll get into a jeep and head to the summit of Redonda Mountain, which is nestled between two lagoons: Limón and Redonda. From the top, the views of the jungle will look like something out of a fairy tale.
Finally, we'll return to the mainland and head back to Punta Cana, where we'll arrive at your hotel after 10 hours.
Los Haitises National Park + Kayak
In this case, we'll follow the same itinerary previously described. However, instead of returning to the port in a speedboat, we'll return by kayak, enjoying an ecological route that will connect us even more with nature. You'll row through canals surrounded by mangroves!
Los Haitises National Park + Playa Esmeralda & Lunch
Want to complete the experience even more? In this case, we'll start with the activity with an exciting boat ride through the mangroves of Los Haitises National Park, exploring the canals filled with biodiversity. We'll then continue the route toward the Arena Cave and La Línea Cave, where you'll discover pictograms and Indigenous petroglyphs.
Afterward, you'll enjoy a delicious Dominican-style lunch inside the park. What a view! The adventure will continue with a visit to Playa Esmeralda, a beach with white sand and crystalline waters. It'll be an authentic paradise! Here, you'll have time to swim and relax in this corner of the Caribbean.
We'll conclude the day trip back at your hotel between 10 and 12 hours after pickup.
Los Haitises National Park + Yanigua Waterfall + Redonda Mountain
If you want to discover the natural beauty of the area, this option will take you to fully discover the Los Haitises National Park, the Cascadas Yanigua Waterfall, and the famous Redonda Mountain.
After exploring the Los Haitises National Park, we'll head to the Yanigua Waterfall, where you'll be able to connect with nature by admiring its crystalline waters. You can even swim in them!
Lastly, we'll take you to see the iconic Redonda Mountain, famous for its incredible 360-degree scenic views. Take a picture on its swings and hammocks—you'll look like you're floating in the air!
Finally, we'll take you back to your hotel in Punta Cana after 12 hours.
