At the appointed time we'll pick you up at your hotel and start a tour in which we'll learn the ins and outs of two of the Dominican Republic's star products: coffee and cacao!
We'll travel to a farm in the community of El Caño, less than an hour from the Punta Cana hotel area. Upon arrival, we'll start touring the farm's different fields, in which its coffee and cacao crops stand out.
There, we'll learn the techniques used to produce excellent raw materials that are later harvested, processed, and finally brought to our table. You'll be surprised by the secrets hidden in these farms! Throughout the tour, we'll also get to enjoy different tastings of the cultivated products.
During another stop on the farm, we'll learn about the preparation of mamajuana, one of the country's most typical beverages. Made from rum, red wine, honey, and medicinal herbs, it's a real local treasure. You'll love it!
Afterward, we'll learn all about coconut oil, vanilla, and sugar cane. Finally, we'll leave the farm behind and take you back to your hotel after a 4-hour excursion.
