Enjoying the beauty of Lake Titicaca is a must if you are in Puno. With this excursion, you'll visit the Uros Islands and go hiking in Taquile!
Uros Islands Excursion + Taquile Island Hike
At 7 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Puno and head to the port, where we'll board a speedboat for a cruise on Lake Titicaca.
After just 20 minutes, we'll reach the first of the floating Uros Islands. There, we'll get off the boat and go on a guided tour to learn about the culture, traditions and customs of this Indigenous Peruvian community. Did you know that the Uro was one of the first civilizations of the Andean highlands?
After touring this impressive artificial archipelago, we'll return to the boat and sail to Taquile Island, the largest in the area. Once there, we'll embark on a one-hour hiking route along a stone path to the most spectacular viewpoints of the island. The views of Lake Titicaca will leave you speechless!
After this hike, we'll leave you an hour of free time to have lunch in a local restaurant. Then, at 1:30 pm we'll start our descent to the boat that will take us back to Puno.
We'll finish the excursion back at your hotel at 4 pm.
