Wooden houses and beautiful gardens with a European feel... discover the German influences on Lake Llanquihue with this tour of Frutillar from Puerto Varas.

Wooden houses and beautiful gardens with a European feel... discover the German influences on Lake Llanquihue with this tour of Frutillar from Puerto Varas.

Tour of Frutillar

We'll leave your hotel at around 8:30 am and set off towards Frutillar, a beautiful town with German influences on the shore of Lake Llanquihue

Firstly, we'll walk around the peaceful streets of Frutillar, enjoying the relaxed atmosphere and the many flower-lined gardens surrounding the houses. We'll also visit the Colonial German Museum (apart from on Mondays when it's closed), to find out about the history of the German immigrants that established new lives around Lake Llanquihue in the second half of the 19th century.

Our journey around this "Teutonic town" will continue at the shore of the lake, where we'll see the famous Frutillar pier, from where you'll be able to admire breathtaking views of the Osorno Volcano, and we'll also see the Teatro del Lago theatre.

After we've explored Frutillar, we'll return to Puerto Varas and drop you back at your hotel at around 1 pm.
