Macaw Sanctuary Tour
At 8:30 am we'll pick you up at your hotel in Puerto Vallarta and drive by minibus to the Macaw Sanctuary, located an hour away. Ready to see these colorful birds?
At the Macaw Sanctuary, we'll have the opportunity to get a very close look at the so-called ara militaris. We'll visit the reserve's facilities and discover how its workers help these birds on a daily basis as well as learn about how the green macaws feed and discover why their ideal habitat is in temperate climates such as Mexico.
As we admire the numerous macaws during the guided tour, we'll walk among the pine trees and breathe in the tranquility of this place. We'll also tell you all kinds of curiosities about these birds and the dangers face. For example, did you know that they can live up to 70 years old and can have up to 15,000 feathers?
After a two and a half hour tour of the Macaw Sanctuary, we'll return to the minibus and head to a nearby restaurant. Here, we'll leave you two hours of free time so that you can grab a bite to eat before returning to Puerto Vallarta.
At 3 pm, we'll drop you off at your hotel and the tour will end.
