The Taino valley tour was unbelievable beautiful and provides spectacular views and some of the freshest fruits you will ever have. After the tour the local lunch is quaint and immersive as you become part of the culture, eating authentic Dominican food prepared at a small local family run restaurant. Our tour guide was nice and visiting puerto plata was beautiful.

Tour Details

Our adventure begins with a pickup at the Puerto Plata cruise port or your hotel at the designated time. From there, we’ll embark on a journey to one of the most historically significant natural sites in the Dominican Republic.

After a pleasant drive, we’ll arrive at the Taino Valley Tropical Park, an ecological reserve with lush vegetation and enchanting trails. As we walk through the park, we’ll encounter statues of ancient Taino gods and learn about their significance in indigenous culture.

We’ll then reach the Taino Valley viewpoint, offering stunning panoramic views of the lush valley. After a well-deserved break, we’ll continue our tour to the fruit plantations, where we’ll taste fresh fruits directly from the tree.

Next, we’ll explore the Dominican coffee route. Did you know that these tropical lands produce some of the best coffee in the region? After learning about the entire process from planting to packaging, we’ll enjoy the aroma and flavor of a freshly brewed cup of coffee. As a bonus, we’ll also discover the secrets of Dominican tobacco, watching how cigars are made, classified, and what makes them so exclusive.

We’ll then head to the Casa Colonial to recharge with a delicious lunch on the porch of this historic residence. Afterward, we’ll head to Puerto Plata, where we’ll explore the majestic San Felipe Fortress, enjoy breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea, and uncover the rich history behind its walls.

Our next stop is the Amber Museum, where we’ll learn about this prestigious material. We’ll also visit Independence Square, with its impressive Cathedral, stroll along Rose Street, and walk through the colorful street of umbrellas. There’s so much to see!

Finally, we’ll begin our journey back, wrapping up the day with a drop-off at the pickup point after a 7-hour adventure.
