After we've picked you up from your hotel or Plaza Popular in Cabarete at 8 am, we'll set off for Jamao al Norte and head deep into the rainforest. We'll then start our river trekking route along the Las Caobas trail - let's go!
Once we've got all our trekking gear on, we can start exploring the nooks, crannies and natural pools hidden in the gorges. We'll jump from the heights, descend down rocks and swim through gorges during this exhilarating activity.
As you might be peckish by this point, we'll have a mid-morning aperitif of cheese and a Dominican rodao (a kind of biscuit). Afterwards, we'll continue trekking in search of stunning caves and jaw-dropping jumps in this spectacular unspoilt environment.
We'll then visit a nearby village and share a delicious Dominican chicken stew accompanied by beans and rice. While we're in the village, we'll also learn about the unique local craftsmanship.
At the end of the activity, we'll head back to the starting point in Puerto Plata, where we should arrive at 4 pm.
