Puerto Plata Guided Tour
Puerto Plata Guided Tour
After picking you up from your hotel at the scheduled time, we'll head into the historic centre of Puerto Plata to visit one of the city's oldest monuments: the San Felipe Fortress. We'll take a look back at the Dominican Republic's history and colonial past while visiting this bastion.
Next, we'll visit the amber and larimar factory; two semi-precious stones that'll amaze you. Do you know what amber has to do with the film Jurassic Park? You're sure to find out!
The next stops will take us deeper into discovering the culture, way of life and local produce of Puerto Plata. We'll visit the Macorix rum factory, an artisanal cigar factory, a chocolate factory and finally, we'll stop at the Malecón, where we'll discuss the Merengue festival. Do you already know anything about this famous Latin dance?
Last of all, we'll eat a traditional lunch at a restaurant before giving you 1 hour of free time at Puerto Plata's beach. You'll be able to relax and sunbathe on this beach, which has fine white sand and turquoise water.
It'll then be time to take you back to your hotel in Puerto Plata, where we'll arrive 4 hours after exploring the city's best sights.
