Dominican Culture Tour
Dominican Culture Tour
Between 8 and 9 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel, where we'll hop in a tourist truck with open-air seats to start touring the Bay of Maimon on the northern coast of the Dominican Republic to get to know the country's most deeply rooted customs and traditions.
During the trip, you'll be able to observe the different ecosystems of the Bay of Maimon as well as impressive views of Puerto Plata, as we'll be more than 330 feet (100 meters) above sea level.
Continuing on the route, we'll meet members of a Dominican family who, while explaining the customs and traditions they follow in their own home, will offer us a varied selection of typical products like local fruits, coffee and cocoa.
Following our visit with the family, we'll head to Playa de Guzmancito, a beautiful beach perfect for water sports. Here, you'll have free time to enjoy a relaxing dip, go horseback riding or go snorkeling. It's up to you!
Anyone hungry? We'll go to a traditional ranch where we'll refuel with a buffet lunch with different local specialties and delicious Caribbean products that will make your mouth water! After lunch, we'll drive through several Dominican towns located in the surrounding area.
Then, we'll head to a tobacco plantation to see how the famous Dominican cigars are handmade. Fun fact: this product is one of the country's main exports!
Finally, we'll take you back to your hotel in Puerto Plata at 5 pm.
