Torres del Paine National Park 5-Day Hiking Tour
Description
Day 1: Puerto Natales - Torres del Paine
At the scheduled time, we'll collect you from your hotel in Puerto Natales and make our way north. After a journey of around 2 hours in a 4x4, we'll arrive at the Torres del Paine National Park Welcome Centre, one of Chile's most important natural spaces.
Once there, we'll begin an exciting hiking route through Torres del Paine. On this physically demanding 24km (14.9 miles) hike we'll take in the majestic Andean peaks in the south of Chile. You'll love it!
We'll make a short stop at the halfway mark to enjoy a picnic-style lunch and then, we'll continue hiking towards the Base de las Torres viewpoint. After admiring some amazing views, we'll make our way towards the encampment in the area where we'll have dinner and spend the night.
Day 2: Torres del Paine
We'll have breakfast at the camp and then begin our second hiking route around Torres de Paine. This time, we'll walk around 14km (8.69 miles) through one of the most amazing parts of the national park.
After a short break for lunch, we'll arrive at the Cuernos del Paine, an amazing set of mountain ridges which are famous for their steep peaks. We'll enjoy this spectacular geological area and then continue our hike in the direction of the banks of the Nordenskjöld Lake.
We'll bring this day to an end with dinner and rest at an encampment located along the banks of the lake.
Day 3: Torres del Paine - Valle del Francés - Torres del Paine
We'll begin the day with a warming breakfast at the camp. Afterwards, we'll begin our third day of hiking where we'll hike for around 12km (7.45 miles). On this new trail around Chilean Patagonia, we'll make our way towards the Valle del Francés viewpoint. Get your camera ready!
From this viewpoint, we'll admire the Hoja, Espada and Fortaleza mountain ridges. We'll also be able to see the Nordenskjöld and Pehoé Lakes. After admiring these Patagonian lakes, we'll enjoy a light picnic-type snack and then hike towards the camp where we'll spend the night, have dinner and rest until the following day.
Day 4: Torres del Paine - Grey Glacier
After a comforting breakfast at the camo, we'll begin the 4th day of this tour by hiking 11km (6.8 miles). This new hiking route, on which we'll make a couple of stops to enjoy the amazing views and rest a bit, will take us to the Grey Glacier, one of the largest natural gems in the Southern Patagonian Ice Field.
We'll bring this hike to an end at the camp on the banks of Grey Lake. That evening, those who wish can walk along the suspension bridge on the Grey Glacier or enjoy a kayaking tour on Lake Grey.
That night, dinner will be served at the camp where we'll also spend the night.
Day 5: Grey Glacier - Torres del Paine - Puerto Natales
On this final day, we'll eat breakfast at the came beside Lake Grey and then begin hiking towards the refuge where we stayed on the first and third days. From the pier there, those who wish can hop take part in a 30-minute catamaran ride on Lake Pehoé.
Those chose choose to stay on land, can stroll along the banks of the lake. Finally, we'll join up once more and begin our journey back to Puerto Natales in our 4x4. We're expected to arrive back at around 10 pm.
