Mocagua Monkey Sanctuary Trip
Mocagua Monkey Sanctuary Trip
We will pick you up from your hotel in Puerto Nariño at 9 am before embarking on a trip to Mocagua. First, we will sail down the Amazon onboard a boat whilst admiring the region's colorful flora and fauna. If we are lucky, we may even encounter some freshwater dolphins?
When we get to the mainland, we will visit the indigenous community of Mocagua, where we will learn how these people live in the middle of the jungle. You will be amazed by their customs and traditions! From there, we then head deep into the lush rainforest, arriving at the wonderful monkey sanctuary.
We will spend the time getting to know the different species of primates that inhabit this area. We will also learn all about the work of the association that is dedicated to rescuing these friendly animals and releasing them into their natural habitat.
We conclude the tour, by returning to the community to enjoy a delicious traditional meal with them. A delicious treat for the tastebuds and a fine way to conclude our adventure! Finally, with our energy restored, we get back on the boat and return to Puerto Nariño, arriving at 5 pm.
