Cacao Island and San Antonio Community Trip
Cacao Island and San Antonio Community Trip
At the time you choose, we will pick you up from your hotel in Puerto Nariño and begin out brilliant excursion to Cacao Island. This location across the border in Peru is famous in the Amazon region for its indigenous community and its magnificent cuisine.
At the port, we will take a boat across the Amazon and set sail for our destination. After 20 minutes admiring the jungle landscapes and the exotic wildlife that inhabits the banks of the river, we will reach the community of San Antonio.
We will discover the customs of these people, admire their wonderful constructions, and learn about the cultural differences between Colombians and Peruvians. This is a fascinating experience!
We will tour the lands surrounding the community and head into the jungle of Cacao Island to learn about its fauna and flora. You will see the giant ceiba roots and, if you are lucky, you will meet some friendly sloths.
After a fantastic four-hour excursion, we will return to Puerto Nariño and drop you off at the departure pier.
