Amazon and Santa Teresita Community Trip
Amazon and Santa Teresita Community Trip
When the clock strikes 8 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Puerto Nariño with a motorbike and drive to the pier. There we will board a boat and head to Santa Teresita.
For half an hour, we will sail along the idyllic Loretoyacu River, a tributary of the Amazon that the riverside communities use as a means of transporting goods and passengers. If we are lucky we may even see some indigenous boats.
When we arrive at the community of Santa Teresita, the families will welcome us with open arms and tell us their most important stories and legends. Encountering a completely different culture is something you will never forget.
Then, the guide and local inhabitants will take us into the depths of the Amazon rainforest. On this part of the excursion, we will enjoy the lush jungle vegetation and exotic wildlife, up close.
After three brilliant hours of hiking through the Colombian jungle, we will take the boats back to Puerto Nariño and drop you off at the pier at 12 pm.
