If you're a certified diver, don't miss this diving activity in Puerto Morelos. You can choose to dive at night, at a sunken ship, or in a cenote, whichever strikes your fancy!
Options
When you make your reservation, you can choose one of the following options:
Night dive (2.5 hours)
If you choose this option, we'll meet at 6 pm. There we'll go over the safety rules and then travel by boat to Arrecife de Puerto Morelos National Park.
Once we're all set with diving equipment, we'll enjoy an exciting night diving activity. Over the course of 45 minutes, we'll go diving in the second-largest barrier reef in the world!
After this experience, we'll sail back to the meeting point, where we'll arrive at 8:30 pm.
Important: these times are approximate, as they may vary depending on the tides. We'll confirm the time well in advance.
Shipwreck dive (4.5 hours)
If you choose this option, we'll meet at 7:30 am. First, we'll get set up with all the necessary equipment and give a brief technical talk. Then, we'll sail to the day's first dive site: the shipwreck of the Juan Escutia C-56, a ship that sunk in 2000 to a depth of 27 meters (88 feet).
The second dive will take place in Arrecife de Puerto Morelos National Park, which stands out for its great diversity of fish and sea turtles.
At the end of this dive, we'll return to the meeting point, where we'll arrive at 12 pm.
Cenote dive (3.5 hours)
In this case, we'll meet at 9 am at a cenote on the Yucatán Peninsula near Puerto Morelos. Please note that we'll choose the location depending on the weather conditions.
At the cenote, we'll complete two dives to explore the caves within the lagoon. These natural spaces, very characteristic of the states of Campeche, Yucatán, and Quintana Roo, were considered sacred by the ancient Maya who called this area of the Mexican Caribbean home.
We'll conclude the diving experience at the meeting point at 12:30 pm.
