If there's one unmissable place in the Riviera Maya it's Chichén Itzá. On this day trip, besides visiting the archaeological site, we'll get to see and bathe in the Chichi Kan cenote, a spectacular natural pool.

Description

Having picked you up at your hotel in Riviera Maya, we'll make a brief visit an artisan shop before making our way toward the colonial city of Valladolid. Here, we'll enjoy a 25-minute scenic tour of the old town, enjoying such sites as the church of San Servacio, the Municipal Palace and the Municipal Market.

From here, we'll head to the Chichi Kan cenote, where we'll be able to take a refreshing dip in the blue waters. After we've dried off, we'll make our way to a local restaurant for a delicious buffet lunch.

Once we've refueled, we'll visit the most important and renowned remains of the Maya civilization - Chichén Itzá. In 1988 it was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site and in 2007 was named one of the 7 Wonders of the Modern World!

We'll pass through the ancient city with a guide expert in the Maya world and learn about its history. As we enjoy its legends and curiosities, we'll visit the Chichén Itzá temples. Among the most spectacular are the legendary Kukulcan Temple and the Temple of Warriors, decorated with images of war and guarded by a forest of columns.

Finally, we'll head back to Riviera Maya, dropping you off at your hotel or the meeting point 12-13 hours after initial pickup.
