Hiking in the Alerce Andino National Park
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Puerto Montt at 9.30 am, and then we'll head south towards the famous Alerce Andino National Park.
After arriving at our destination, we'll embark on an incredible hiking adventure through the Alerce Andino National Park, a protected natural area that never fails to charm its visitors.
Along the way, and to the tunes of the hundreds of endemic birds singing, we'll discover a wide variety of botanical species such as hazelnut trees, myrtles, coihues and ulmos. Let's learn how to tell them all apart!
This trail, which is approximately 4 kilometers long, will allow us to appreciate the beautiful natural landscapes around the river that flows through this area. What's more, this tour will lead us to the Saltos del Chaica, impressive waterfalls whose thunderous sound is sure to surprise you. You'll have an hour of free time so you can take a dip and enjoy your own picnic in the middle of nature.
Feeling refreshed, we'll climb the last 100 meters towards the mythical thousand-year-old larch tree. Did you know that this ancient tree is 75 meters high? Then, we'll make our way back to the starting point of this hiking tour.
Lastly, we'll get back on the minibus and finish the activity at 4 pm, dropping you back off at your hotel in Puerto Montt.
