Amazon Jungle Night Hike
Amazon Jungle Night Hike
Having been picked up from your hotel in Puerto Maldonado at the time indicated, you'll be taken deep into nature, to a place known as the entrance to the Peruvian Amazon Jungle.
Embarking on your night time jungle hike, you'll spend three hours exploring the trails that cut through the Amazon rainforest. Under the light of the moon, you'll trek through the lush vegetation of the jungle and walk alongside the River Tambopata. You'll make a stop on the riverbank to listen out for the different sounds that fill the air.
Walking along the Tambopata Ecotourism Corridor, you'll reach the Tambopata National Reserve. As you pass between the exotic trees and plants, keep your eye out for the creatures that roam the jungle at night: snakes, tarantulas, and if you're lucky, maybe even leopards and night monkeys! A truly unforgettable experience!
At the end of your night hike, you'll leave the jungle behind and head back to your hotel, where you'll be dropped off about 2 hours after initial pickup.
