Punta Tombo Trip + Dolphin Spotting
Punta Tombo Trip + Dolphin Spotting
At the indicated time, we'll collect you from your hotel in Puerto Madryn and head south towards the port of Rawson.
At the port, a boat will be waiting for you to take you out into open seas to discover the fascinating Patagonian dolphins. For approximately an hour and a half, we will drift along the Atlantic ocean and watch these mammals performing their magical acrobatic leaps for us.
We return to dry land and continue our journey south for around 65 miles until we reach the Punta Tombo Natural Reserve. This idyllic location is home to the largest continental colony of Magellanic penguins in the entire world.
Our tour of the reserve begins at the Interpretation Center where you will learn all the fascinating facts about the penguins. In the summer, the colony reaches more than one million in number.
Later, we will spend some time exploring the 2 miles of wonderful wooden walkways that stretch along the coastline. Along the way, you will meet many penguins and other bird species, and you will spot their nests.
After the tour has finished, we'll return to the vehicle and take you back to your hotel in Puerto Madryn, returning after a total of 10 hours.
