Explore the mysterious Widow's Cave and swim in its magical lagoons when you take this fantastic trip. You will also enjoy a genuine Inca-style gold hunt!
Trip to the Widow's Cave
We will meet at 8 am at the Hospedaje Los Incas to start the excursion to the cave and ravine of La Viuda, located 3 miles from Puerto Inca.
First of all, we will go to the cave of La Viuda, a small but famous cavern that houses mysterious pre-Inca engravings. We will walk through the vegetation of the cave while observing these ancient bas-reliefs.
After the visit to the cave, we will go to the ravine of La Viuda, a natural spa with crystal waters. Here you will have free time to enjoy the different activities that can be done in the creek, such as swimming or fishing.
At 12:30 pm, we will meet up again for lunch, after which you can explore the Amazon rainforest environment. After a very full day, we will return to Puerto Inca, where we will arrive at 4 pm..
Gold panning tour
If you wish to experience an intrepid search for gold in the Viuda cave, you can do so by booking this option. In the search, we will use the bateo method, a pre-Hispanic technique that consists of filling a container with sand and gravel and submerging it in water. Let's see who can find the most gold nuggets! This activity will take place after the visit to the cave. Once the hunt is over, we will take you to enjoy lunch with the rest of the group.
