What is the habitat of Puerto Iguazú's nocturnal animals like? We'll discover this during our nighttime hiking tour around Iryapú Jungle Reserve. You'll be stunned!
Description
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at Jangadero, 136 and from there, we'll make our way to the Iryapú Natural Reserve located in the Paranaense rainforest.
Once we've arrived at this natural space, that stretches to 600 hectares (1,482 acres), we'll begin an unforgettable nighttime hike. On this tour, we'll discover the customs and traditions of the indigenous Mbya-Guaraní peoples that have inhabited this area for so long.
Throughout this lower-difficulty hike, on which we'll walk a total of 4 km (2.48 miles), we'll see huge trees, such as rosewoods, guatambus and cedars. We'll also see strangler fig trees, and a great variety of palm trees, ferns, orchids and fruit trees.
During the tour, we'll also see many different species of animals like coatis, weasels, cai monkeys, southern tamanduas, short-tailed opossums and snakes. If we pay attention, we may also see frogs, spiders and a wide variety of insects. To preserve their habitat, we'll pick up any rubbish we see using a special bag.
Finally, we'll return to the statting point of the hike and from there, we'll return to the meeting point in Puerto Iguazú, where we're expected to arrive after 2 hours together.
